Cherry Blossoms at Dusk

Since it was such a beautiful evening yesterday, we thought a ride to the Tidal Basin was in order. I keep hearing stories that viewing the cherry blossoms at dawn or dusk is even more spectacular. Since dawn is out of the question, we thought we would try dusk. We probably should have left sooner, as it was almost dark by the time we got to the scene and the crowds were unbelievable. I thought we would still have next weekend to walk on down and get the close up shots, but it already looks like the blossoms have reached their peak! Even without the blossoms, the city is always so pretty at night. Nevertheless, it was like traveling through a fairyland, and there was something even more special about viewing it from the car than on foot.
