The Natural History Museum and the Titanoboa

With beautiful weather and guests in town, it can be very difficult to figure out where to spend time. For lunch, we decided brunch on the patio might be nice- and it was. Then we decided a walk over to the Mall and check out the Titanoboa exhibit at the Natural Museum of History. Along the way, we walked through the Botanic Garden, and the Sculpture Garden, and observed the National Pillow Fight from the steps of the Natural History Museum. This Smithsonian Museum is always a favorite for kids of all ages. We passed by the dinosaurs and then found the incredible 48 foot snake replica. There were some beautiful animal and nature photographs on display too. Having run out of gas after seeing the snake, we decided to take metro home, and all of us needed to fill out paperwork for our metro fare cards that were chewed up by the machines. Now it's time for a nap to prepare for a cherry blossom firework festival later this evening. I'll need a few days off to rest up from vacation.

No Thanks!

No thanks again

The kids are totally engrossed
A kinder, gentler side to observe

Fuzzy and cute
A busy place

The trains were full, the staff were yelling directions/crowd control, the escalators
were broken, and our cards got chewed
