It Started With a Broken Pot

Taking Friday afternoon off from work is a real treat especially during the summer months, and right before a long weekend. We needed to run to the Bank, which is about 2 blocks away. On our way, we noticed a few homes for sale with asking prices close to one million. In front of each house and all along the sidewalk, the gardens vary from house to house. This one was rather ingenious. Most folks probably just think they haven't gotten around to actually creating the garden, when in reality it is very artistically thought out and deserves a much closer look. I would not be surprised if the home owners watch the traffic that passes by to catch the reaction of the people observing it. I like the way they incorporated the broken pot and the bags of dirt. It reminds me of a far worse example we saw every time we drove down Lake Drive in Cudahy, Wisconsin. Someone thought that a car buried in their front yard, half exposed, would be eye catching. It was, but for all the wrong reasons. I'm so glad we lived very far away from it. This one, on the other hand, is quite impressive.

Within each one is a plant or two

Scattered throughout are broken pieces of a large pot
