This has been an extraordinary year for weather related incidents that have affected the ability for FedEx and UPS to deliver packages. Earlier this year, my Apple phone was delayed from UPS delivery because of Sandy havoc. Snowstorms out east have delayed delivery this week. But it was with some dismay that FedEx was unable to get through to the DC area because of the Presidential inauguration. But because we live on Capitol Hill, seeing is believing. And based on all the street closures and barricades we faced, I wasn't exactly surprised. But it just seems to be happening a lot. And more so when I'm waiting for something.
