Voorthuis Optometrists Alexandria

For whatever reason, the bridge on my husband's glasses broke in half. Because he has the new flexible frames that can be ordered to suit in just about any color, I knew it would not be a problem getting them fixed by ordering just that piece. And so it was. Last week we returned to Voorthuis in Old Town, Alexandria. It has been three years since our last visit, and we were recognized immediately. They said they could be repaired and returned within the week. Of course, we didn't believe the within the week part. In the meantime, he's been wearing the silver metal backups without a lot of issue, except that they feel heavier. We were pleasantly surprised when the phone rang yesterday to inform us that the glasses were ready. That were shipped to and from California and returned within the promised timeline. So today we went to pick them up. It was well worth the trip. Lessons learned: always keep a second pair of eyewear available and it's smart to order frames that come in three parts. We always shopped at Optix on Downer in Milwaukee and really liked their styles and business approach. It's nice to know we have found a replacement here.
