The Tasty Hot Pepper

In our little patio garden are the beautiful perennial hydrangea that are in full bloom, roses, climbing vines, and assorted annuals. Mixed in between these wonderful plants are cucumbers, tomatoes, eggplant, and assorted peppers. Before any of the other vegetables hardly flowered, this ornery yellow tiny pepper was ready to be plucked. And so it was, and it was eaten heartily for dinner as the first item of the harvest. One of the most delicious treats to hit the taste buds is a delectable, hot pepper from the garden. I prefer the cucumbers to the hot stuff. Our garden never took off in Milwaukee like this one does every year. I feel like the little kid in Connecticut looking for those cucumbers that manage to hide somehow in my mother's garden. But we eventually find them all. Simply delicious!
