Home Depot Weed Whacker, Silicone Spray, and Solar Lights

We have been trying to freshen up the house over the last month or so. Most of it is done, including taking out several perennials by the wall of the house and putting in a patch of grass. But with the grass comes the need to cut it. We no longer have the acre of land like at our house in Milwaukee. We had riding, gas and push lawn mowers, snow blowers and more equipment than is possibly needed here. So we figured we would need at least a weed Whacker and a steady hand once the grass gets tall enough. Since we don't have an electric outlet and don't want to deal with gasoline, we decided a battery operated tool would work the best. So we went to Home Depot in Virginia and picked out a middle of the road Black and Decker model. Anytime you go to Home Depot, there are always other things to pick up. My solar lights bit the dust a year ago. I always like the ambiance of the gentle light on the plants in the garden. We had wonderful solar lighting in Milwaukee - up lights, path lights, and decorative lights that were installed by an electrician. So we picked out a couple easy to install fixtures and will put those in once the last snow is done this week. And of course, having had the broken window in the bedroom recently fixed, it was advised that we should use silicone spray rather than WD. I feel like we got a lot accomplished over the last few days. Now all we need is a little sunshine so the grass grows and the lights turn on.
