Tanger Outlets National Harbor

After checking out National Harbor the other day to see the progress of the Ferris wheel we decided to explore the area around it. We have never been impressed with the huge convention center, condominiums, shopping, or restaurants there. Everything looks like everything else. As we passed by the potential site for the MGM Casino, we noticed signs for Tanger Outlets. My only recollection about this place was at Christmas when the news showed all the traffic congestion. At that time there was only enough parking for about half of what was needed and the roads didn't support that level of activity either. I will do whatever I can to avoid malls and stores. That way we only purchase what we need but also avoid the crowds and inconvenience of old fashioned shopping. I suppose if it's an afternoon out with friends or has particular purpose that the Internet cannot provide it remains a logical choice. There seemed to be a lot of shopping options here with a lot of name brands. I think we went to the outlets in Wisconsin one time and that was enough. But I'm the last one to judge about places like this. I'm just too lazy to find out.
