Dusk on the Capitol Grounds

She liked New York and he liked Green Acres; she's a little bit country and he's a little bit rock and roll; I like the dusk and my husband likes the sunrise. There's just no two ways about it - I really like the dusk because it's so serene and pretty. The sun casts a shadow on everything beneath it in such a unique way at that time of day. And some times I can capture it in photos. The bright sun of the early morning is almost too much light when you're trying to get just the right angle. Of course, it is only at this time of the year that it really becomes obvious because in the winter it doesn't matter what time of the day it is - I would rather stay inside. This weekend was just wonderful to be outside and wander about the neighborhood. The Capitol grounds are almost devoid of traffic, and tourists, and noise. The Japanese Maples are stunning, the reflection of the Capitol Building can now be seen in the just turned on fountain, the park benches are occupied with furry friends taking a load off their four feet, and the sun peeks through tree limbs and casts shadows on the house office buildings. This past winter was rather harsh so this was an even more pleasant experience. So this morning when we were walking along the mall in the full sun, the heat, and the sweat... Which one would you prefer?
