An Indiana Adventure - Greeks Pizzeria x 3

We set google maps to Fishers Indiana from Washington DC when we left on our    roadtrip Friday. We hoped to arrive at Greeks restaurant for dinner. But our car had other ideas and waylaid us in Washington Pennsylvania for an $800+ repair of an exhaust pipe. So dinner was changed to lunch the following day. When we reached Greeks Pizzeria in Fishers - right outside Indianapolis - we were told the owner/manager of this establishment was in the Muncie store. We either didn't know or didn't check before we left. The whole idea was to surprise the owner, take a photo with him, and send it to his parents. His parents were our neighbors for most of the thirty years we lived in Milwaukee, and were the reason for this roadtrip. We were on our way to Milwaukee for a visit and this was a minor detour. The minor detour ended up making us backtrack to Muncie. When we reached that Greeks restaurant, the owner was not at that establishment - he was at the one at Ball State. So we finally arrived. It was the right place, but the wrong time. He wouldn't be in until the late afternoon evening. The sad thing is that he actually lives in Fishers, but works in Muncie. Let's just say the intention was good, but didn't work out the way we had hoped. When we finally arrived in Milwaukee - four hours later than expected - we took a photo of us with the pizza box filled with three leftover pieces - and sent that to the owner/manager. You could say it finally did work out - in a very roundabout way. We would probably never see that much of Indiana if we tried. So much for good intentions and surprises - and a very odd story.
