Another Day in the Neighborhood - Women's March

Yesterday was the Inauguration. Today is the women's march. We haven't moved our car for a week for fear we wouldn't ever find a parking space near to our house. We like living in Washington because of all of this activity, and this has been a very busy week! Most of the blockades have come down, so we can at least move about, but the crowds are unbelievable! Pity to the visitors who really wanted to visit any of the Smithsonian Museums on the mall. The march is huge, but there is no internet access or Jumbotrons, which is unfortunate because you can't upload photos, but you can at least take them. It was a sea of pink filled with polite folks, from as many different backgrounds, states, and slices of life. It is indeed an interesting time and we live right in the middle of it. But we do have an engagement in Virginia this evening and will need to leave extra early to make sure we make it on time. It might feel a little different depending where you live, but here, we are right in the middle of it. I'm glad we are retired and don't need to be anywhere. We can sit back and observe it all.
