Koziol Salt and Pepper Shaker

We just completed a major bathroom renovation in our tiny 500 square foot condo. And while we were at it, we decided to upgrade the kitchen a bit by adding a primarily black and white glass backsplash, replacing the ugly track light with a black and white overhead light, and change out the faucet so there are no drips! As with any upgrade, the small details around it may need to be updated as well. We are still debating about what to do with the color of the kitchen cabinets - I think they just need a touch up and my husband would prefer a completely new color. But we can't decide on what the color should be. I am waiting for the HUGE refrigerator to die so it can be replaced with one that fits the space and has French doors so it doesn't bang in to the table when the door is opened. So in the meantime, we are replacing the seat cushions to better match the new decor, and exchanging the old salt and pepper shakers to something a bit more whimsical to combat the more masculine looking vibe. The Koziol set made in Germany arrived today from Wayfair - a pair of birds on tree branches - one is black and the other is white. They are made out of melamine and look like glass, have magnets on the bottom to stick to the tree branches, and are easily fillable - something I can't say for the French porcelain pieces we have. Sometimes the biggest impact is something as cute as this. At least we think so. Now all we need is a tiny vase with a cut flower.
