Paradise in Pots

We walk there all the time. Our morning walks take us through the national mall and to the Smithsonian buildings. Once past the air and space museum and the Hirshhorn, one enters the gardens near the castle. By the Sackler Gallery there is a narrow strip of a walkway that is missed more often than not. Last week there was a sign posted near it about Paradise in Pots. So we decided to see what was new since the last time we went there. This time it was sprinkling rain so everything was splashed with raindrops. All the exotic flowers were more mature than in early summer and looked different on a cloudy day.  But they were still spectacular in the colors, types, and shapes of flowers. After the US Botanic Garden this place is one of our favorites. It is highly traveled during cherry blossom time, but hard to find for most visitors searching for the more well known and established spots on the mall. Walking in the morning is more of a prescription than a welcome event. But this environment makes it so much nicer.
