Subaru Forester Check Engine Light Resolved?

All of a sudden out of no where the check engine light, eyesight, and several others lit up the dashboard on our 2016 Forester while driving home from lunch in Alexandria. So we turned around and headed to the Subaru dealer to avoid any problems. They checked and reset the system, but said we should make an appointment to make sure it was nothing more. So we brought the car in the following week, waited for the verdict, but nothing was found. At least we had the oil and filter service done -which was due anyway. So we drive around for two days when the same thing happened. Of course, it was on a Saturday. So we basically parked the car until we scheduled another appointment for Monday. I researched the internet for all the possible reasons this could happen, and summarized those on the work order appointment document. The most frequent issue was the catalytic converter and the old loose gas cap. This time, they did find an issue with the alternator (?) and had it replaced. Luckily for us, we had taken out an extended warranty on the car so all we had to pay for was the deductible, and they didn’t charge for labor. When we got in the car today, both my husband and I were a bit wary - but, none of the lights came on driving to nor coming back from Rockville. We were just commenting about how new the car looks - and then all that started. It is a royal pain to take care of these inconveniences, but thank goodness we have no where to go and can pay for it. For that we feel very lucky.
