Beautiful Sunsets

We live on the west side of the building. I am a big fan of late afternoon and evening views, so it was imperative that our balcony sit on the side that can highlight that time of the day. I am definitely not a morning person - so having coffee on the balcony is not my idea of a good time. But when evening is close at hand, we sit on the balcony, play stupid games in the iPad together, and look at the sky. The occasional breeze is mesmerizing. Lately we go there after our morning walk too. It’s a great place to relax, cool down, and write this blog, before the sun hits the spot. We don’t have an umbrella to hide behind like we did on our tiny Capitol Hill patio. This balcony is much too small - but big enough for our use. Having an outdoor space prevents getting claustrophobic! Over the last week the sky has been a brilliant orange, pink, and yellow. It must be the time of year, or the dust storm leftovers. All I can say it’s about the only place outdoors that we don’t wear a mask and it feels almost “normal.”  That’s hard to find these days.
