Tiny Flowers in the Park

Since we moved to northern Virginia from Capitol Hill over a year ago, we still take a morning walk every day. We swapped the national mall for a park just a couple of blocks from where we live as well as the sidewalks in our neighborhood. Whenever it was inclement weather, we walked the shopping mall. Well, that option ended in March. There haven’t been a lot of days - so far - that the weather stopped us, but with fall and winter coming things could get dicey. I am always on the lookout for good photos to write about. The one theme that struck me the other day in the park were the tiny flowers that are starting to appear. They come on all shades, as one would expect. I am always hoping to get surprised by an unusual animal or bird. They haven’t been showing their faces lately. It gets harder and harder to come up with blog entries - especially when I write one every day over the last ten or more years. That usually means we take a ride either to DC or somewhere else nearby just to get a change of scenery. It feels like jail around here. And I am getting tired of it.
