Tulip Library

I know this is a little late, but better now than never. Every year along Independence Avenue near the Tidal Basin is the Annual Tulip Garden. Unfortunately it gets overlooked by the cherry blossoms as they are competing for attention about the same time of year. Nevertheless it is a sight to see. Even though this year's panorama is no longer with us, the just as beautiful annual garden will soon take its place, unless sequestration has anything to do with it. You never know. There was talk that the fireworks might get canned this year. So, it's best to enjoy all the free entertainment while it lasts. That's one of the reasons we like living here so much. There is always something to see, and it's usually well worth the trip.
