Tysons Galleria

We really miss walking in the evening on the weekends when the temps are in the 90's. So today we decided to take a ride to Tysons Galleria to get a few steps in and also test the air conditioning in the car, which has been acting a little funny lately. Tysons reminds us of Northbrook near Chicago, where we went regularly when we lived in Milwaukee, but never to avoid the heat - perhaps to get away from the snow and ice!I think we could put the car on autopilot getting to McLean along the George Washington Parkway we travel that route so many times. The Potomac River was filled with boats of all shapes and sizes - a bunch seemed hooked together. When we reached our destination there were a few cars ahead of us getting in to the parking garage, but the mall itself was quite dead. We walked each level and looked to see what replaced a restaurant we used to frequent for Saturday brunch....it looked good, at least the bread and the pastry. I loved the tuxedo with the white collar.  We sure didn't walk the same amount that we do in the neighborhood, but it was a good excuse to get out of the house.  It ended up that the air conditioner was working fine, so that's one less thing to think about.
