Crate and Barrel Eddy Stacking Wine Glass

Our wine glass supply is depleting - mostly because something breaks. Some of  them are more expensive than the others. We have pretty much replaced any decorative glass with plain glass. The “in” thing these days is to have what looks more like a drinking glass. They work nicely and break less often, but they just don’t look - or feel - like wine glasses. So we drove out to Crate and Barrel to see what might be options. In the glass section were a few different choices. Three of them were varying sizes of a typical bowl shape of a wine glass turned drinking glass. The fourth option was sort of an in between shape - a wine glass bowl with a short and heavier stem. When we went in to the store, I was fixed on a simple glass version. But my husband liked the short stem model better. Actually it would probably work better because you can still hang it in the wine cabinet rather than clutter up the kitchen cabinets. So we ended up getting four of the short stem variety at a whopping $2.95 each. Now I will need to figure how much to pour in to it because the size is much smaller than the long stem glasses we usually use. Now if one breaks it won’t really matter. Although I am hoping that won’t happen.
