Super Sliders

Since we started a bathroom renovation in our one bedroom condo, we have been living in our studio apartment across the hall for the last few weeks to get away from the mess. In the studio apartment is a Murphy bed. In front of the Murphy bed is a heavy chair and a side table that need to be moved away from the bed every evening. It actually has become a routone to prepare the room at night for bedtime. But it would be even nicer to be able to glide the chair away without a lot of stress on anyone's back, as well as preserve the carpet. So we found a set of super sliders that are about a half inch wide and four inches long. They fit nicely under the metal legs of the recliner. We use these sliders under our dining room chairs so we don't scratch the wood floor, or make a lot of noise moving things around. So we are hoping that these sliders will work for this purpose. There are already four small clear plastic pieces on each corner, which has helped us move it around so far. But the increased gliding surface shouldn't hurt. I have a feeling everything may end up with a slider underneath it. When you get a little older you need to think of things like this. As a matter of fact, anyone could benefit from these simple conveniences.
