At the Car Wash

It’s been a while since we had the car washed. So after two weeks of rain it was time to get it done. We passed by Flagship car wash in our neighborhood twice in the last two days but the lines were much too long. So before taking our morning walk in the park we stopped there first. Luckily there was just one car in front of us, but thereafter they kept coming. We picked the top tier option because we needed the inside vacuumed and everything else wiped - including the dash board and the windows. And of course we always watch the car as it comes down the tunnel with the funky lights and water spraying all over. I suppose the best part of it all is that the car looks brand new after it is cleaned even though it is eight years old. We have driven this car through all fifty states and it only has eighty thousand miles on it - we stopped taking trips during and since the pandemic. We thought about getting a new car but for now this one does the trick - especially after a nice bath.
