World Bank

As we were driving home from errands on Saturday we decided to go another way, because our usual route along the Rock Creek Parkway was really busy with Spring tourists and traffic. So we headed towards 16th street and ran in to even worse traffic. I thought the World Bank business had already ended. But, we were mistaken and ran right into police barricades, a lot of black limousines, and big cars with diplomat on the license plates. It took us twice as long to get home- which just goes to show you- that it's always busy somewhere in town. Luckily, we did not have to be anywhere, and were in no hurry to get to our destination. I can only imagine how it feels if that was not the case.
We drove right in to a barricade

That took us down Pennsylvania Avenue

And in to a worse mess by the White House
