Renew Costco Membership?

We joined Costco when we first moved to DC. We didn’t go there very often because we simply didn’t have the space to store large volumes of products. At the time they carried our favorite cheese - so that was one reason to go. We mentioned to our Midwest friends that we might be in the market for a new car and they said that the Costco auto program was worth looking in to. So we renewed our membership. But you have to go in to the store to get your new card. The closest Costco is in Arlington where we had gone before. But we decided to drive to another location twelve miles away. After we got our cards we walked around a bit and picked up two types of cheese which were obviously cheaper - but they no longer carry our favorite. You also have to use a Visa card - another irritant. We did then check out the auto program. Unfortunately it took us to a place in Maryland which would be a bit inconvenient because we don’t live in Maryland. It’s a hassle for license plates. Since we investigated the option it has been nonstop email, texts and phone messages. It’s not like we need a new car immediately so I need to contact all of them to stop contacting us until we do decide what we want to do. After all our Subaru really doesn’t have any major issues even though it is eight years old but only has 88,000 miles on it. I think we need to have the car washed and pretend it’s still new for a while yet.
