Observations, pictures, and sketches highlight the transition of moving to the nations's Capitol after 30 years of living in the Midwest. A clash in cultures? Maybe not!

Peking Delight in Great Falls
Although the name escapes me, it looks like the kind of place in Milwaukee way out west on Capitol Drive. It was a village type shopping and restaurant area complete with toy stores and interesting this and that's. We noticed Great Falls Village Centre a couple weeks ago when the tavern restaurant closed near there and we searched for something else while we were in the area. At that time we noticed the Chinese Restaurant Peking Delight and decided to try it out this past weekend. I'm really glad we did because we both liked it. It's been awhile since we went to a Chinese place that we liked. We always have the usual chicken fried rice, won ton soup and egg rolls - plus another spicy dish of some sort. This time it was shrimp. It wasn't very busy at Sunday dinner time. Out on the green was a concert in progress nestled in between all the small businesses and restaurants. It's nice to find something we like there because the ride to Great Falls is very scenic - especially during the summer months. You would think there would be a Chinese restaurant near to us on Capitol Hill. There is, but it's just not our cup of tea.
