The Twilight Zone “Dead Man’s Shoes”

We have two apartments that are across the hall from each other. It’s an odd arrangement but works for us, and is particularly nice when we have guests. However, all the guts for tv viewing are on one side, while the other side has very limited options. Rather than subscribe to basic cable services, we disconnected the tv completely - until I came across the notion of free tv and got an indoor antenna - along with cables to connect to the iPhone or iPad to view shows from those devices over Wi-Fi. So every once in awhile before we go to bed, we check out the several channels that are available via the indoor antenna and have a laugh or two. One of our favorites is the Twilight Zone. As a youngster I used to watch it when it first came out, and now we see an episode here and there. The intro music is quite unforgettable. Last night was “Dead Man’s Shoes.”  I can’t say it was one of my favorites, but the whole idea is just nostalgic. Seeing Rod Serling and hearing his voice feels just like yesterday. So at least now if we are stuck on that side in the event we have guests, the tv is set to go. Or maybe we should switch sides and let the guests have all the fun.
