LLBean Fleece Jacket

After attempting to buy the LLBean fleece jacket three times, it finally arrived yesterday. We got a postcard in the mail a few days back about a 20% off discount with the llbean MasterCard. We went to the store, found the perfect jacket in the right size, and they had no idea what we were talking about. So we went back home and the card said three days only - but the three days hadn’t started yet. At the three day time period I tried to order the jacket on line but it wouldn’t accept the 20% code or my bean points. Luckily we walk at the mall in the morning when it is hot, so we went back to llbean and looked for the jacket. It was no longer available in the size we needed, but the salesperson said they could order it in store for us. So we went that route. The check out person was also having problems on line and we ended up getting the discount, but she forgot to add on the bean points. Rather than make a fuss we decided we could use the points at another time. So now my husband has his winter fleece and we are prepared! It just seems funny to even think about winter clothes when it’s one of the hottest weeks of the year. It feels worse than Florida, but it also feels like Milwaukee in winter. And we’ve lived in both places. You would have thought northern Virginia would be a little more forgiving. But it’s not.

LLBean Fleece Jacket - Three Times a Charm?

My husband rarely says he needs an item of clothing. So when he does it means it is beyond wearable. Such was the case when he mentioned he might need a fleece jacket to wear around the house when the temps fall. It just so happened we got a postcard in the mail about 20% off if you use your LlBean MasterCard. We went to the store on Wednesday, found the perfect fleece, went to the counter to pay, but no one knew what we were talking about - and of course, I didn’t bring the card with me. So we went home and I checked the card again and realized the sale was for three days only starting on Friday. So I thought I could just order it on line using the code and my leftover bean points. Friday came, I found the same fleece in the right size, and I tried to check out using the code and the bean points. Nothing worked. So we decided to go back to the store, but the item was no longer available in his size. But they said they could order it on line in the store and would appl the discount. So we went to the counter, asked to have the fleece ordered, and to use the discount and the bean points. The website was giving the sales person a hassle too. But by the end, it was finally ordered and the discount was applied. But she forgot to add in the bean points. Rather than go back - again - we decided to leave things as they were. We’d use the points another time. I’m not sure when that will be!

The Toasty Heated Wearable Blanket

It's true in most households. Someone is always cold and the other person is always hot. In the car where there are now dual controls and separate seat heaters it has become less of an issue. But in the house - that's another story. Moving from Milwaukee to DC made the outside climate a bit more tolerable. A little but of every season is better than winter all year round. So when it gets really cold, I plug in the wearable fleece blanket and crank it all the way up. The heating element is only where the hand pockets are - kinda like a muff. Usually all I need is the fleece and a cozy couch. But lately the next step has become necessary - plus wearing the hood of whatever sweatshirt or sweater I am wearing. And there he sits (my husband) in his short sleeve shirts. I'll never understand but at least I can do something about it.
