A Warehouse in Lynchburg

One of the reasons we spent a day in Lynchburg was to visit our family members who recently moved there. And another reason was to see the warehouse that they plan to turn in to living quarters. It is in the heart to downtown by the James River. From the rooftop there is a spectacular view from all directions. The plan is to create a rooftop garden and kitchen area for outdoor entertaining, but also for just relaxing and taking in the scenery. The warehouse has five floors, one of which is currently used for weddings. Eventually the building will be used for a lot more than that because it is a multipurpose space, so the opportunities are quite endless. The clean up for the residence has started and the construction will follow over the next year. The original floor of an old church in the area will be used to supplement the warehouse floor. We have seen a lot of renovations, but this one will be quite unique! When we got a tour of the city along the Main Street where all the grand homes are situated, we knew this wasn't the kind of thing that was in the cards. It will be interesting to watch the progress in the months to come, and it is a great reason to visit to watch it evolve. This building is exactly the same age as the home they owned here on Capitol Hill - but they couldn't be any more different!
