Downtown Lynchburg Farmer's Market

This morning we feasted on sweet potato pancakes and Virginia ham. We were visiting our family in Lynchburg, Virginia and spent yesterday and this morning with them. Following breakfast we walked over to the Farmer's Market. You could say it is comparable to Eastern Market here in DC, but on a much smaller scale. The cheese place actually had our favorite petit basque, but since we were away from home we didn't get it. My husband tried the apple cider, and we watched the crepes being made next to the pastry shop that was doing a hot business. The last bit of fun was to get a tour of the city - we finally saw the hospital where our son works, and the school where our grandson attends. Our daughter in law works from home, and we saw their place yesterday. It's about a four hour drive from DC to Lynchburg. It's a lot further away than seven houses down the street.
