Wearing the Same Clothes Over and Over

It probably didn’t matter anyway. The clothes I wear around the house are the same as before - but they are about the only clothes I wear these days. At least before we would wear other clothes for going out to lunch or attending programs at the Library of Congress or meeting with my family members for brunch or packing them to take trips. But no more! I do wear LLBean shorts and pants and shirts and jackets every morning for a walk based on what the weather dictates. But from the minute I wake up to the time I change for bed it’s shorts and a T-shirt. The shorts must be thirteen years old as I got them when we first moved to DC to wear while I worked in the patio garden. They are really cheap and have an elastic waist band and I got them them in five colors. The T-shirts are Amazon Merch shirts that are samples of my custom pet portraits. Since I sell them on Amazon I wanted to see how they actually turned out so I had ordered a few in different sizes - two of them are used for night shirts. They aren’t as wrinkled as they appear when they are worn! All I can say is that they are comfortable and who cares? I may need to break down in winter and add a long sleeve jacket and/or long pants, but so far I haven’t needed anything more. In some ways it feels strange, but strange has become normal. 

Comfort Colors Men’s Adult T-shirts

Do you care what you wear around the house these days? It seems we wear the same thing day in and day out. Actually, that’s not much different than before all this virus junk - especially since we are both retired. The big difference is that neither my husband nor I are even remotely interested in even looking at clothes you would wear outside, since we never go anywhere anymore. Some of his T-shirts were looking a bit ragged, so it was time to bite the bullet and see what options were available. My husband and I both like LLBean, but Amazon has a variety of items that seemed reasonable. I stumbled upon Comfort Colors T-shirts. They come in at least twenty different colors and have a nice little side pocket that gives them a more “tailored” look. Since my husband prefers neutral colors only, the grey and two shades of blue were ordered. I would have liked a yellow or green, but he doesn’t care for anything bright. Anyway, they are quite nice and even better after a wash. And the neckline is just the right fit. Let’s hope they last for a while. I wonder when we will even want to seriously look for clothes or shoes or anything again. 

Amazon LITs Pooches Kitties and Other Sweet Faces German Shepherd T-shirts

I have an Amazon Merch Shop that’s about a year old. It’s made up of a lot of my custom pet portrait images on T-shirts and is called LITs Pooches, Kitties and Other Sweet Faces. Unlike Redbubble, Zazzle, Etsy, and Pixels/Fine Art America, I don’t get email notifications when I sell a product. So I always look at the stats and manage tabs on a daily basis to see if I’ve had any sales. Last week was interesting. There was a sale from somewhere in the US for a German Shepherd T-shirt in a size large on a silver background. Then the following day there was the same German Shepherd T-shirt sold in an extra large on a black background. Then the day after that there was another sale for the same image in a child size on a green background. Unfortunately it ended there, but it was fun to see that someone must have liked the product and image enough to order two more T-shirts in different sizes and colors. So thank you to the person who not only noticed my work - out of the millions out there - but liked it enough to either use or give to someone. I really appreciate it! 

Amazon Merch Shop Restocked

After a lot of studying and trying to figure out how I could reformat and upload my pet portrait images, I opened an Amazon Merch Shop last year. It’s called LITs Pooches, Kitties and Other Sweet Faces. I uploaded 100 images that were available on primarily T-shirts. Since then I’ve sold a few T-shirts and hoodies with black labs being the clear favorite. The difference between Amazon Merch and my other shops on Zazzle, Redbubble, and Pixels is that the image remains available on Merch only if it is sold. Otherwise, after a few months with no sales, the image is removed. For all the other shops the images remain for as long as the shop is open. My Etsy shop charges a fee whenever an item is renewed. But that shop is primarily for ordering custom portraits from start to finish - much different than purchasing a completed image. But I do have several downloadable paintings. So my 100 limit supply on Merch was starting to dwindle down so I replenished it a bit yesterday. I’m only allowed 10 updates per day. For each item it needs to be processed and checked for appropriate content and I receive an email letting me know it was completed. So I may do a few more today to get the store restocked. I don’t want to do too many at one time because they would all need to be redone at one time - unless they are sold. That would be a good thing!
