Lake Pasadena Park and Birds

Although we didn’t have a lot of time to spend there this year, we always stop by Lake Pasadena. We were on our way to visit my mom and decided to stop by to see the birds and the scenery. The “pond” is located near my old neighborhood and is surrounded by houses. My husband loves this place and insists we drive around it a couple of times to see what’s new and different and if something is happening on the island where all the squawking comes from. I’m sure if you actually live there the birds could get annoying, but for us, it’s fun to see them walk up to the car because they all think they will be getting a hand out. Feeding the birds is now frowned upon, although getting the stale bread from the bakery all those years ago was a routine thing. As a youngster I fished in this pond with a bamboo pole and a doughball. So we weren’t disappointed this year. There is something very peaceful about this place.
