Yas Sweet Treats, Pickles, and Eggplant Sauce

My husband has a taste for pickled things - in particular torshi and haft bijar pickle. We pick these items up at the Iranian market in Rockville, or Tyson's, or Vienna. We haven't been to Yas in Vienna for quite some time. So we had lunch at the Vienna Inn, then rode over to Yas. He usually gets two bottles of the pickled things and has scoops of the stuff with every dinner. It makes for a more spicey taste. He also has a sweet tooth, and typically we find something at the dessert counter. There is a sweet bread type of thing that reminds him of home, and of course, the honey filled type of tiny glazed donut. On our way out of the store, we thought it might be a nice idea to get an assortment of cookies and treats for our house renovators who are from Vietnam. They have brought us several types of exotic fruits, drinks, and cakes since they have been working on our bathroom and floor over the last few weeks. My husband brought the box filled with delightful treats over to them before I could get a photo! He asked them if they might like some tea or coffee, but they declined. It doesn't matter where you are from - sweets hit the spot. I'm not too sure about the pickles and eggplant.
