They are everywhere! And you know the event is getting closer and closer when the Porta potties are in full view. What used to be a very scenic and artistic photo op has now gone to the dogs - unless of course you find just the right angle and have cropping capability. I know we won't be anywhere near the stage on the Capitol steps when we attend the inauguration next Monday. But I'm so very happy we live so close that we generally don't have to deal with this sort of thing. Right now all the doors to the " facilities" are secure and not in use. All along Pennsylvania Avenue the parade and television crew stands are being built, but the trucks carrying the Porta potties are just about everywhere. It's interesting to watch all the action from beginning to end, but this is one part of the elegant and historic affair that I could do without. It just makes us wonder what in the world did people do before any of this was available?
