An Old Town Visit

It’s been a while since we drove to Old Town Alexandria. We used to go there regularly for lunch and to visit. Now we drive in for a change in scenery and to take photos for the weekly challenge. So last week I needed to think of something for “high key” images, but along the way took other photos of things that just looked pretty. We walked along the Potomac River waterfront, then headed back in to town and wandered up King Street where it’s still closed off to enhance restaurant business. I always love looking at the old homes along the way. We still need to come back for the Halloween decorations. They always go all out this time of year. Afterwards we ordered pick up from our favorite Vaso’s Kitchen and stopped at Gravelly Point by the airport to have a bit of pizza for lunch and watch the airplanes taking off. Things have certainly changed in the almost last two years. I am looking forward to getting back to normal - three vaccinations later.
