Construction at Work and Home

This must be the month for annual repairs and face lifts- and coincidentally they are happening both at work and at home. All the hallway walls get banged up over time, and that seems to apply to just about any building. There is still earthquake damage getting repaired by the AOC at the Library, but also general repairs are being completed due to people banging carts and heavy equipment in to the walls. Whenever someone moves in or out of our building, or takes trash to the back yard for disposal, the walls always suffer. In the hospital, patient carts were always the culprit- so much so that side rails were placed on the walls so you could hang on to them if needed, but they also helped prevent scuffs from other things. It's not such a bad idea to have routine work done, because not all the dings are avoidable. But for those that are preventable, hopefully the reason behind the damage is addressed and solved.as best as possible. Or this sort of task will always be never-ending.
