More of Freddy Krueger

It all started before Christmas and usually takes one day- maybe two - at the most to finish a simple job. But that rarely happens in this town. The City is responsible for maintaining the lawn and manicuring the shrubs on the small plot of land that sits next to our building. We usually have to call several times during the summer to have the grass cut. Someone decided it was time to cut down the shrubs that have probably not been touched in ten years. The first pass at it was a mess. The second pass completed one side - looking like a product of Freddy Krueger's, and then it started on the other. The third pass has left the other side half done. The cut branches are strewn all over the ground. Now it has turned really ugly and cold out- so I'm guessing the unfinished job will remain this way for at least another week. Would this have happened in Milwaukee? Absolutely not. Even though I know that's how things are done here, I don't have to like it.

  1. This must be the "hell" part of the hill. But are you sure it's the city doing the deed?.....
