At first I thought it was because it was Sunday. We were driving to Florida and the traffic was terrible all the way to Savannah. Then I thought it might be the time of year and spring break. Whenever we take road trips we try to avoid the times when most people travel - which are holidays and when school is out. For whatever reason we really messed up this time. I have never seen the traffic so balled up as this Saturday afternoon on our way back home. We lost three solid hours standing in parking lot traffic all the way from Brunswick Georgia, through all of South Carolina. So before we plan any more road trips, we need to avoid holidays, spring break, and places with only two lanes on the interstate. North and South Carolina are dreadful. Aside from that, the road is lined with tress so it is also exceedingly BORING. And South of the Border isn't cute anymore!
