Bloody Mary Mix

There wouldn’t be breakfast if there wasn’t tomato juice. I usually have orange juice. My husband always has tomato juice. When we used to go out for breakfast - before this mess - virgin Bloody Mary was the drink of choice. There was no alcohol, but the drink was filled with celery, salt on the rim, pepper, hot sauce, olives and other treats. Oftentimes there was more ice than juice. If tomato juice was the only option then hot pepper sauce was always added. Since we only have our groceries delivered these days it’s sometimes a trick to always get what you request. A lot of things are sold out - including Bloody Mary mix. So I tend to stock up whenever possible and have ended up with several different brands depending on the place we order from. We usually shop at Giant, followed by Fresh Market - then occasionally Harris Teeter and Wegmans. Mr and Mrs T bold and spicy is the most frequent label. Fat and Juicy is another one. Then there is George’s and Zing Zang. We have also tried Mclure’s. The hotter and spicier the better. I’m sure each grocery and liquor store has it’s favorite label. In this house it doesn’t matter which one it is as long as there is some around for brunch time.
