From Lynchburg to Washington

We've been there three times since last year. Our son and his family moved from DC to Lynchburg Virginia when he retired from the army after twenty years and three deployments. Every time it has either been cloudy or rainy and this was no exception. The one day overnight trip takes about four hours each way. It was great to see the family and the progress on their warehouse renovation. On our way home we hit more rain, but passed by some beautiful farmland and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Luckily we are moving towards town during rush hour. Unfortunately for me my long weekend is almost over and work starts again tomorrow. So as long as the day lasts I'll enjoy the ride. It's always good to get home regardless of where we travel. But it's always good to enjoy the scenery along the way.
