Oxo Good Grips Slicer

We always have salad with dinner. It’s usually lettuce and cucumber and tomato. And of course it is topped with Brianna dressing. My husband loves the Chipotle and I prefer the French Vinaigrette. I’m not sure why we started eating radish, but it’s got something to do with antioxidants, calcium and potassium - all the things I need. But radish is rather tasteless but lends a bit of texture to the salad.  The trouble is is that it is very hard to slice. My husband did his best but the bits were just too chunky. So I checked Amazon for radish slicers and found Oxo good grips. It comes with three different slicing levels, has a vegetable holder so you don’t cut your finger off, and can also cut cucumbers and other vegetables. So we tried it out and it works fairly well - although the radish is too hard for the gripper to work. So we put it on the thinnest slicing level and the radish comes out nicely. The thickest level works best for the cucumbers. In the end the radish actually tastes a lot better and it also looks quite nice. We haven’t had anyone over for dinner in over two years. But these are the sorts of gadgets that would undoubtedly impress your guests. In the meantime we will use to impress us!
