Join In - Voluntary Associations in America Exhibit

We went to a program at the Library of Congress this week. It’s been a while. If you want to just visit the library you need to get a timed entry pass which is a pain in the neck. I worked at the library for ten years and appreciated just walking in and out whenever I liked! But if you are attending a program you can just say that you are and will be admitted. I always bring an email verification just in case. We always spend some time in the Great Hall because it is such a beautiful space in the Jefferson Building. After the program about Tibet, we wandered back out to see if there were any new exhibits since the last time we were there. And there was one about voluntary associations in America. Since we were in a two hour parking spot we didn’t have a lot of time to spend because the program was an hour, we spent some time taking photos for my weekly challenge, and we needed to allow time to walk to and from the car. So we passed by the Jefferson Library and in to the new exhibit. January is a great month to visit these places because there are very few visitors. I will need to spend some time researching everything that was housed in this collection. All I know is that Benjamin Franklin was a main contributor. We are looking forward to attending another program next week. It’s. It so much the subject matter but an opportunity to do the things we always did before the pandemic. We are always satisfied whenever we go.
