The Fate of the Pepper

The first sweet yellow pepper was plucked from the garden last week. It was put in the refrigerator until the chef decided what would be the best use for it. And it was delicious! Can't wait for more of them to grow up along with all the cucumbers and tomatoes. Why wouldn't everyone have a few vegetables alongside the flowers? Some of the prettiest gardens have just this mixture- we got the idea from the Chicago Botanical Garden many years ago. And with the price of food these days, it's better than the grocery store.
