Washington Hospital Center Parking Structure

It's only 3.8 miles away, but it takes forever to drive from our house to Washington Hospital Center. So you need to build in the extra half hour or more just for that. It's even worse in the morning. Unfortunately our eye doctor is located at that location and we have had to go much more frequently lately for a little procedure and checking and rechecking of eye pressures. Getting in and out of the parking garage is always a treat too. As is typical, and even though there are about six floors, everyone stops and backs everyone else up to get the first available space on the first floor. It's always full and jammed - the perfect set up for an accident. We learned a long time ago - at the Bloomingdale parking garage in downtown Chicago - that the best thing to do is just drive up to the top floor. There was always room at the top, especially in the morning. It just wasn't worth the waiting and nerve wracking experience of trying to squeeze in to a tiny space when you really didn't have to. Believe me, there are plenty of other opportunities that you don't have that choice! They also tell you to get the parking card stamped in the doctor office so you get the extra dollar off the first hour. So you get to start the day with a long ride to the place, a trying time working your way around the cars attempting to park on the first few floors for fear there is nothing else open, and you get to pay for it all too! I really don't like going to the doctor's office anyway, so let's make it even nicer. In Milwaukee, it just was a lot easier. But I didn't care about any of it when we heard the news was good. What could be more important?
