Way-finding at the Washington Hospital Center Parking Garage

In all the hospitals I've worked, finding your way from one point to the next can be a daunting task for any visitor. I've even worked with management engineers to figure out the best way. The Library of Congress just implemented new signage to help with navigation. Yesterday we needed to go to Washington Hospital Center to visit the eye doctor. Unfortunately for us, her office is located at this huge medical center. When you get your parking ticket, it always tells you to write on it the level you park on. What was new this time were pictures of 5 different images scattered about the level associated with each floor of the parking garage, starting with the Stars and Stripes on P1, Cherry Tree on P2, Bald Eagle on P3, Marine Helicopter on P4, and Space Shuttle on P5. I'm not sure how these images were created from a theme, if that was even the intention. The signs did get my attention, which was probably the point of it all. My husband didn't even notice.
