52Frames Minimalist Weekly Photo Challenge

It started out with an arm against a wall at the Hirshhorn sculpture garden. Then on to a single albino squirrel against the green grass on the national mall. On the way home the memorial bridge looked good crossing the Potomac River. But I didn’t like any of them. So maybe the purple recycle container near the neighborhood park might do. No. So we took a ride to old town Alexandria to see what we could find for a minimalist photo for this weeks 52Frames challenge. First we stopped to throw some rice at the hungry ducks who surprisingly loved it. There were a couple of interesting scenes along the waterfront, but I didn’t think they met the definition of minimalist. On the way home we stopped by to pick up a small Greek pizza and other goodies for a “picnic” lunch at Gravelly Point next to Reagan airport along the Potomac River. We have made it a bit of a habit to go every few weeks to pick up the food, then stop and watch the planes land and take off while we munch on pizza. I really hadn’t planned on finding any ideas for the challenge there. I still don’t think it’s very good but used to anyway. It’s the photo of the plane and the seagull. After editing the colors were enhanced to show off the wings of the gull. These sorts of photos really require a telephoto lens - something an iPhone 8 Plus doesn’t have.  So given the equipment I have I do the best I can. Some weeks are better than others.
