Eye Medicine Latanoprost and Nordic Ice

For several years, we have gotten our three month supplies of prescription medicines mailed to us. One of those prescriptions is for Latanoprost eye drops. We both need it to reduce eye pressure. It’s just another medicine, but something changes in the hot summer months when it gets delivered. It doesn’t come in the typical plastic bag. Rather, it arrives in a sizable styrofoam chest that is packed with Nordic Ice bags. The first time we got it packaged that way we didn’t know what in the world it could be because we weren’t expecting anything of that size. Apparently the eye solution can be affected by extreme heat, so it is a necessary evil to avoid problems. It must be a pain to have to prepare this medicine for shipping. The Nordic Ice packs can be disposed of or reused. We usually toss them per the directions. But this time we decided to defrost them and save them in case we ever need ice packs to transport food with us to our family mid state. Every once in a while we will bring Moby Dick persian food with us on the drive because they don’t have this delicious treat in their town. So now we have three ice bags available to use. I have a feeling they will be sitting there for a long time.
