Bob’s Red Mill Milk Powder

We drank gallons of milk when we were youngsters. There was nothing better than a grilled cheese sandwich and a tall glass of milk. I used to always put milk in coffee too, but stopped when it became a hassle. Then drinking milk switched to low fat milk, and then skim milk, and then no milk at all. We don’t drink milk in our household. But when you need it for that rare occasion there are other options. Since we haven’t been to the grocery store since March 13, we have been ordering our groceries in through the Giant Peapod App, or via Instacart. I tried finding some kind of powder milk and ordering it for several weeks. It was “sold our” in most places - until I was finally able to get some from the Fresh Market. They have items unlike the other routine places. The brand we found was Bob’s Red Mill non fat dry milk powder. And it’s a good thing we got it because last week we made a butterball bone in turkey breast for Thanksgiving dinner in May. We used the powder milk to add to the mashed potatoes, along with a slice or two of American cheese. Then we boxed it up and “touch free” delivered half of the meal to my brother and sister in law. I’m not sure when we will need the powdered milk again. But it’s sitting in the cabinet in a tightly sealed bag. Thanks Bob!
