Ultimate Lump Crab Cake from Fresh Market

I love crab cakes. But we haven’t had a really good crab cake since Christmas. We got some crab at the fish market wharf in DC and our Maryland born daughter in law made the best appetizer out of it. So I decided to get the ultimate lump crab cakes from fresh market. Since they arrive “fresh” we thought we should have them for dinner the same night the groceries were delivered. The instructions for cooking are on the package and my husband prefers to cook things on the stove rather than bake in the oven. Not only did we have the crab cakes, but we also got a garlic French bread that was put in the oven. Together with broccoli, a salad, and some rice it felt like we were in a five star restaurant. The crab cakes were excellent - although I have to admit that I do like to add a little spicy mustard. My husband even liked them so they had to be good. He’s not in to “mushy” food. Anyway, it was a real treat this week. Aside from the crab cakes, we have had a May Thanksgiving Turkey, lasagna and pizza and meatball sandwich from our favorite Italian restaurant, and home made soup with a bit of leftover turkey. We now have all the fixings for another chicken fajita feast. And this evening it’s going to be Moby Dick kabobs. We always tended to cook more at home than go out for dinner. Sometimes it’s good to change it up a bit. It was wonderful.
