52Frames Triangular Composition Weekly Photo Challenge

The subject this week for the 52Frames weekly photo challenge was “triangular composition.” The idea is to find something that resembles a triangle - not to find a triangle and take a photo of it. So we headed in to town and walked towards the White House. The fountain in front served as an image for a multiple layered composite, but I didn’t really like it. The African American Museum has interesting lines and when shot in front of the Washington Monument triangles were formed. That composite became the alternate. We walked along Pennsylvania Avenue looking down to the Capitol - the street and sky created triangles but the photo wasn’t that good. Then we walked over to what is called the Federal Triangle area. The lighting cast a shadow on the ground that lead up to the archway. When a mirror image was made, it created even more unexpected triangular shapes - including the workman who turned from two in to one. It was an interesting play on the concept, although I don’t think they will like it because it was “manufactured.” I’ve been spending a lot of time on the editing process because it’s just more fun than taking the photos. I’m really interested to hear what the fellow framers think.
