Keeping Up With the Jones

The neighborhood has continued to improve since we moved here. In particular, the Trucker's Office Building across from our house was finally completed after almost five years of renovation. Living in the historic district creates another level of approvals and safeguards that must meet the community standards. The landscaping around the building is very pretty, and so far, has been maintained for all to enjoy. Across the street on first street, there are several private dwellings that could use an extra coat of paint, or weeds pulled. Just last week, there were workers and painters preparing not just one, but two homes for outdoor paint enhancements. Once one neighbor starts, the rest fall in line all along the street. And that's a really nice kind of peer pressure that we all benefit from.

Every little bit helps
